I am a big smoothie fan and this almond butter & berry smoothie is absolutely amazing. You can use your favorite type of nut butter for this recipe, but I personally enjoy using almond butter over peanut butter. I love adding yogurt to my smoothies as well to add a little more of a creamy texture and it also adds a good amount of protein to help keep you satiated throughout your morning or day.
Almond Butter & Berry Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1/2 banana (preferably frozen)
- 1/ cup frozen mixed berries
- 2 tablespoons almond butter, or any nut butter
- 1/2 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 cup plant based milk
- 1/4 cup yogurt
- TOPPINGS
- fresh blueberries
- sliced bananas
Instructions
Add all of the smoothie ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
Top with sliced bananas, fresh blueberries, and a drizzle of almond butter. Enjoy!
