Once you try this recipe, you will be putting it on everything in sight. This healthy 7-ingredient vegan nutella is perfect for spreading or dipping. I personally love dipping juicy, fresh strawberries in the nutella or spreading it on some warm pancakes or waffles. With only 7 ingredients and a few minutes, you will be on your way to having healthy vegan nutella.
Healthy Vegan Nutella
Ingredients
- 2 cups dry roasted, unsalted hazelnuts
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted and cooled
- 2/3 cup cocoa powder
- 8 dates, softened (I liked to soak mine in hot water for about 20-25 minutes)
- 3/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 1/2 cup plant-based milk, I used soy milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Add the hazelnuts to a high powdered blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy like peanut butter. This may take some time, depending on how much power your blender or food processor has. I just used my Vitamix.
Add the remaining ingredients to the blender and blend until combined and creamy (if the mixture is too thick, you can add a little more milk to thin it out)
Serve the vegan nutella in any way your heart desires and enjoy!
